MLO Reflective Narrative
For MLO 1 what it means in my comprehensible is language proficiency. Being able to communicate productively in Spanish. Last semester, I had the opportunity to take a class that was very useful for me, Spanish 321. In my Spanish 321 class, I was able to learn about different authors like Jose Espronceda and Don Quijote de la Mancha. . In addition, it helped me feel comfortable when making presentations in Spanish since I had to complete multiple presentations throughout the course. From this experience, I have learned that presentations have really helped me feel more confident and start to lose fear of speaking in front of others. This class made me feel confident in myself because although I was expected to know how to speak Spanish and write it correctly, that was not necessarily the case until I completed this class. For my Spanish 321 class, I had to write a final essay about Don Quijote de la Mancha. This was an interesting novel to research and to learn about because it helped reaffirm my pride in who I am. Despite my acquired strengths in this MLO, some of the challenges I encountered along the way were that, at the beginning of the semester when I was taking those classes, I was a little nervous because the readings that we were completing were difficult to understand, even though they were interesting. In order to understand them, I learned to re-read the story to comprehend it better. This is a strategy that I will be sure to continue to use in the future.
