Course Narrative
In class 304, which is an Intro to Hispanic Literature, I had the opportunity to learn how to analyze poems and find the different point of views of the reading. I learned how to identify metaphors, simile, and the tone. In this class we had to choose a poem and make a presentation describing the tone, summarizing the poem and putting it in our own interpretation. For this presentation, we did it in pairs. My partner and I decided to talk about the poem La Cancion Del Pirata by Jose Espronceda. I took this experience really well and enjoyed it. I was actually not nervous because I am used to talking in front of people because presentations have been followed throughout my life. Furthermore, I want to give thanks to my professor for helping each of us to understand the rhetorical devices and finding out that this would always be seen in most of our routines.
