Course Reflective Narratives
For this class, I have learned so many important things for my capstone project. In WLC 300, the professor made sure to guide us to the correct path for our project. In this class, we had to choose our topic for capstone. It was very interesting to find out how many topics they were to choose. At first, I was not sure what to focus on, since most of them were interesting to work on. But in the end, I decided to focus on literature. In my group, we decided to focus on The Evolution of the Feminine Figure in Papeles de Pandora (1976) By Rosario Ferré. We explained how through Rosario Ferre stories, women were treated in the twentieth century. And how has it changed in life. Women are able to have more opportunities to work and be able to have more freedom and not just focus on being a housewife. At the beginning, I was not sure whether to stay in this group because they told me I had to leave a couple of stories and I thought I was not going to be able to because of time constraints. As well for this project, we had to do an essay of 30 to 25 pages long and two presentations, one in English and another one in Spanish. We will present in Spanish, but the questions the guest asks us we would have to translate to the opposite language, so everybody could understand. The beginning of this class, I was calm because I thought it would be something simple but now towards the end it feels a lot of pressure, anxiety, frustration, and we must have a lot of time to work on this project. It was nice working on this project because I had the opportunity to meet new people.
