In Spanish 314, I learned about the language teaching methodologies for students of Spanish as a second language, grammar-translation methodology, direct method, audiolingual method, cognitive code, and the natural approach. I learned great knowledge based on the basic concepts of Applied Linguistics of Spanish. A project we did was in groups which we focused on identifying linguistic diversity, reference to standard language, objectives and level of the textbook reference to colloquial registers, and how the book addresses the objectives found in the ACTFL standards. The book we focused on was Español Para El Hispano Hablantes Niveles 1,2 y 3 por Aurora Mendez y Aurelia Vacaflor. Español.
